Phillip Kohut, DMD is a North Carolina native. He went to dental school at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, then completed a two year General Practice Residency at Wake Forest University’s Bowman Gray School of Medicine/Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. He decided to open his own dental office in Northchase after spending over a decade practicing at the largest Community Health Center organization on the East Coast, where he, among other things, served as Dental Director. He is also a faculty member at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry and is involved directly with the teaching of dental students.
He lives in the Wilmington area with his wife Jennifer, their daughter, Jenson, who is in nursing school, and their two school-age boys. The family has a cat and two dogs, one of which is “Doc,” their young Golden Retriever, who is also an office dog in training (but he has a very long way to go).
